Trade School Scholarship

APPLICATION

The Brian Grabowski-A Life Well Lived Scholarship offers up to $10,000 in scholarship assistance to qualified people to encourage learning a trade that will result in a full-time profession. Based on merit, selected individuals are young adults, aged 17-25, who are passionate about learning a trade.


The award may be used to fund any accredited vocational program. The scholarships are paid to the financial aid offices of the college where the student is enrolled. To be eligible for The Brian Grabowski scholarships, applicants must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Be of good moral character.
  • Have achieved a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average.
  • High School Graduate.
  • Demonstrate acceptance to a trade certification.
  • Hard working and determined.

General Scholarship Regulations:

The Brian Grabowski- A Life Well Lived Scholarship offers up to $10,000 scholarships based on merit. Seeking applications from high school seniors and high school graduates who currently fit the following description

  • Scholarships may be used to pursue a trade school during the upcoming school year. Scholarships are one-year awards that may be used to fund any accredited vocational program.
  • Scholarship recipients must have a 2.0 or high school GPA, plan to continue to excel in the chosen trade, and continue to meet other scholarship eligibility criteria.
  • Scholarship checks are paid to the financial aid office of the trade school, college or university where the student enrolls. There are no wire transfers or re-issuing of checks.
  • Nomination Eligibility High School Seniors selected for these scholarships must:
  1. Be a U.S. Citizen
  2. Be of good moral character
  3. Have achieved a minimum 2.0 cumulative or higher-grade point average
  4. Be a graduating high school senior
  5. Demonstrate acceptance to a trade school
  6. Transcripts from the trade school, showing successful completion of classes/semester/trimester must be provided before additional scholarship funding is provided.

 

Please follow all guidelines:

  • The application forms must be completed and postmarked by April 25, 2026. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

  • Applicants will be notified by May 15, 2026
  • Board members will notify successful applicants and their schools of the award by May 15. Results will also be posted on the Brian Grabowski-A Life Well Lived Facebook Page and website.
  • Scholarship recipients must respond by returning the confirmation form by May 30, 2026, to confirm that they accept the scholarship and to provide contact information for the vocational school where they will enroll. The scholarship check will be forwarded to the vocational school.
  • Scholarship funding will continue as long as students pass each class. The failure of a class will result in the cessation of scholarship funding.

Completed Applications A complete application must contain all required documentation:

  • A completed Scholarship Application Form
  • A certified copy of the applicant’s high school transcript
  • Letter of Recommendation from a mentor, teacher, or employer who is not related to the applicant
  • A cover letter (500 words or less) from the applicant including the reasons for applying and how the scholarship will help in pursuit of the applicant’s goals.
